Dog Lover
Karen is first and foremost a dog lover; she has loved dogs her entire life. From having a puppy as her playmate in her playpen, she grew to become deeply involved in her family's love of dogs.
Karen's love for dogs motivated her to embrace whole-heartedly positive re-inforcement training. She understands the love you have for your special dog and wants to enhance the happiness your dog brings you and to enhance your dog's happiness as well.
Karen grew up in a family of dog lovers. Her mother, uncle, and grandfather all raised and trained dogs. They showed championship dogs in conformation events, including a Best of Breed at the famous Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in Madison Square Garden, New York.
Professional Dog Trainer
Karen is a member of both Association of Pet Dog Trainers and International Association of Assistance Dog Partners. She is a certified dog trainer and is constantly updating her knowledge and skills. Karen is always willing to share both hers and others' new techniques for making your special dog well trained and happy. She uses methods that are proven to build a healthy relationship and communications partnership between the human and the canine--between you and your special dog.
Professional Service Dog Trainer
Karen is particularly capable of training your special service dog for mitigating your disability. In addition to her knowledge and skills, her battle with breast cancer has made her extremely empathetic to others' challenges.
